Week1
This was our first class, and the teacher first asked us to introduce ourselves, and asked us to talk about where we went to play some time ago, what we saw, and what interesting things we saw, and then told us about our plans for this semester.
The teacher asked us to go to a sports brand store to take some photos of the design and find its interesting design elements.
Week2
Here are the project what we shuld do.

Week3
In this class, the teacher first told us about the course schedule for the next semester, shared with us some programs that can go abroad as an exchange student, and introduced to us the different courses that can be selected in the following semester, and explained the content of this lesson to us, so that we have a deeper understanding of the concept of interactive space design,Then the teacher told us that a store should not only look at the external design, but also look at its internal products, so that we could analyze the products of the projects we did.
At the end, the teacher commented on our classmates' homework and asked me to revise some of the content.
Week4
In this class, the teacher improved the content of assignment 1 for us and showed us many videos and cases. It is required that our works should include interactive content. The storefront we make must be interesting. This is a great challenge for me because I want to be a drink shop, but the teacher later said that restaurants can also do it, so I began to check the information on the Internet and plan to finish my homework this week.
I decided to conduct an interview survey on Starbucks store locations.
Here are some photos I took during my field survey.
After tasting the coffee and food at Starbucks, I have to admit that Starbucks is a high-quality coffee shop.
However, this store did not have a complete design plan, so I decided to create it myself.
Below is my assignment for assessment one.

Week 5
In today's class, we had a presentation and the teacher gave each of us suggestions. He told me that the flaws in my design plan made my improvement increase by adding a 3D image.
The homework we assigned requires us to conduct a survey about a project we did.
Week 6
The survey project I chose is Starbucks.
In today's class, the teacher answered our interview questionnaire one by one. The content that needs my modification is to add a few questions related to interactive space design, rather than a broad survey.
The teacher thinks that my initial idea was somewhat incorrect because in Malaysia, Starbucks cafes do not allow pets to enter, so my concept of a pet-friendly area is wrong and needs to be changed.
In this class, I improved my survey questionnaire and had more than thirty people participate in my survey.
Here is the link to my survey:https://forms.gle/pWFxP4FXd32xAS1A6
The teacher also assigned us the homework for the next class, which requires us to create a PowerPoint presentation from the responses of the survey and analyze them one by one. We also need to create a user journey map and a user persona.
Below is the user persona and user journey map that I created:
Week 7
In this class, the teacher checked whether the Qiuzi we made in the last class was sold here and why he didn't take it, and told us the new content and asked us to make a few pages of PPT about the brand we made.
The interactive device I plan to develop for my Starbucks is called “Sweet Loop”
It is roughly the style of a fountain. When you put an empty cup into this device, the marshmallow will slowly rise from this device and the fountain will begin to flow. The fountain is made of some coffee. You can dip the marshmallow in coffee sauce to taste it.
Week 8
In today's class, the teacher first checked our previous homework and assigned us the task to let us finish our painting production in time, but we didn't finish much, so the teacher asked us to check for him. After checking, the students could go home and create their own subsequent paintings.
Programme / Functions of the Installation Interaction & Play
The cup triggers the fountain and rising mechanism
Visitors engage with it solo or in small groups
Brand Experience Enhancement
Turns a post-drink moment into an elevated ritual
Builds emotional connection with the brand
Sustainability Message
Reinforces cup recycling through reward-driven interaction
Encourages environmental awareness with a positive tone
Social Engagement & Shareability
Visually appealing for photos and social sharing
Adds a memorable moment to the customer journey
Week 9
Here are some sketch that i have painted for
After that i painted a final one for my project
Week 10
In today's class, we received an exciting graphic design assignment from the teacher. The core task is to create a detailed and visually appealing graphic design drawing of a storefront layout. This drawing should vividly present the internal structure and spatial arrangement of the store, guiding the viewer through the experience of entering and exploring the store.
Week 11
II. Assignment Requirements
1. Area Selection
First, brainstorm and identify 10 distinct functional areas relevant to the store you envision. These areas could include, but are not limited to, a reception area, product display zones (such as clothing racks, shelves for electronics, or food counters), a checkout area, a customer service desk, a waiting lounge, a storage room, a promotional display corner, and a staff-only area. Each area should serve a specific purpose within the store's overall operation.
2. Storefront Layout
Strategically place these 10 areas within the storefront space you plan to create. Consider factors like customer flow, functionality, and visual appeal. For example, the reception area should be at the entrance to greet customers, while the checkout area should be easily accessible but not too close to the entrance to avoid congestion.
3. Drawing Process
Perspective and Proportion: When drawing, use appropriate perspective techniques to give a realistic sense of depth and space. Ensure that the proportions of the different areas and objects within the store are accurate. For instance, if the store has high ceilings, represent this height proportionally compared to the width and length of the store.
Detail and Clarity: Pay attention to details such as the shape of furniture, the appearance of products on display, and the design elements of the walls and floors. Use clear and distinct lines to make the drawing easy to understand.
Color and Shading (Optional): If you want to enhance the visual impact of your drawing, you can add color and shading. However, make sure that the colors and shading do not make the drawing too cluttered and still maintain clarity.
4. Arrow Guidance
Add arrows to the drawing to clearly indicate the path of entering the store and the recommended route for customers to explore the different areas. The arrows should be large enough to be noticeable but not overly dominant, and they should be placed in a logical sequence to guide the viewer's eye through the store layout.
III. Submission and Revision
1. Submission
After completing the drawing, show it to the teacher during the next class. Present your work clearly, explaining the concept behind the store layout, the function of each area, and the reasoning behind the arrow placement.
2. Revision
Listen carefully to the teacher's feedback and suggestions. Based on the teacher's comments, make the necessary modifications to your drawing. This may involve adjusting the layout, adding or removing details, or improving the clarity of the arrows. Keep revising until your graphic design drawing meets the requirements and showcases your best design skills.
IV. Tips for Success
1. Research and Inspiration
Before starting the drawing, look at real - world store layouts, either by visiting local stores or searching for images online. Analyze how different stores arrange their spaces and use this as inspiration for your own design.
2. Sketching First
It's a good idea to start with rough sketches on a separate piece of paper. Experiment with different area arrangements and arrow placements in these sketches before moving on to the final drawing. This will help you avoid making mistakes on the final version and allow you to refine your ideas more easily.
